Unlocking rural potential: CII AP's vision for global startup ecosystem

Visakhapatnam: AndhraPradesh is on a transformative journey to become a global startup hub, driven by visionary leadership and strategic initiatives. Under the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's "Swarna Andhra Vision 2047," the State is committed to fostering innovation, sustainable development, and technological advancement, according to CII AP Chairman Dr V Murali Krishna.

He said Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 emphasises 10 principles that align with the goals of strengthening the startup ecosystem. Key highlights include employment generation through encouraging industrial setups and providing skill training to develop a competitive workforce, integration of technology by leveraging deep technologies across sectors, especially in agriculture and rural startups, establishing global infrastructure standards to support business expansion, and ensuring balanced development with ecological preservation through initiatives like "Swachh Andhra.

Murali Krishna referred to CII vision on improving startup ecosystem and said “we see immense potential in rural startups. With India's burgeoning population and rising consumerism, the nation is poised to become the global leader in startups. AP is leading this charge by addressing unique challenges with tailored solutions.” However, challenges persist, including financial accessibility, regulatory navigation, and talent retention. Simplifying policies and ensuring adequate funding are essential to support deserving startups.

Pointed out G Murali Krishna, vice chairman, CII “innovation thrives where ecosystems are strong, and ecosystems thrive when stakeholders collaborate. Our collective mission is to make AP a beacon for startups across the globe.”

By addressing challenges and harnessing opportunities, AP is on the cusp of becoming a global startup hub, inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs to build a better future for all, he stated.
